Photography Studio Residency Program
Manarat Al Saadiyat Photography Studio is pleased to announce the launch of the Spectrum Photographers in Residence Programme 2026, a four-month residency designed to nurture and empower emerging photographic talent in the UAE.
This residency will host eight emerging artists, each invited to develop and complete a unique project over the course of the four months. At the beginning of the residency, participants will be presented with a central theme that will inspire, guide, and challenge them to create a body of work that is both conceptually relevant and personally expressive.
Structured as a research-led programme, the residency emphasizes creative exploration, critical discourse, and local engagement, serving as a dynamic platform for experimentation, dialogue, and artistic growth. It is designed for photographers at the early stages of their careers—those who may still be developing their artistic voices, have not yet gained formal representation, or are looking to establish a stronger presence within the photography community.
Through a well-curated support framework, the residency offers participants a holistic experience that combines mentorship, practice, and presentation opportunities.

Selected cohorts will receive:
- A dedicated meeting and production space within the Photography Studio
- Curatorial support and one-on-one mentorship
- Financial support to assist in the development and production of the residency project
